Judah has been struggling with hitting and not listening to Mama and Daddy--yeah, we all knew this day would come. On last Saturday, Daddy instituted time-out and then Mama did it again on Monday--without talking to each other about it. So, clearly it is time for a new form of discipline. Judah sits in her giraffe chair (that she otherwise ignores) and we set the timer for 2 minutes. She pretty much just sits there and says "out-out" and repeats why we said she has to be in "out-out"..."listen!", "hitting!", "listen Mama!" etc. She gets her feelings hurt a little, but basically seems to be ok with the situation. This afternoon, she seemed to finally get the don't hit command while in "out-out". She said "no no hitting!" and Mama had to turn away to keep from laughing and ruining the moment of seriousness about being kind and not being violent toward another person. WHEW!!!
On a funnier note, we were going to some friend's house today for lunch and we stopped at the store. Cody went in and Judah said "Daddy pooping?" Mama laughed and said, "no, Daddy is shopping at the grocery store. Judah promptly replied, "Daddy sickle?", which is to say "Will Daddy get popcicles?" Mama laughed again and said, "no, baby, no popcicles this time" Judah was quiet for a few seconds before saying in her sweetest voice "please sickle?!?" Sadly, Daddy was almost back and the "sickles" will have to wait for another trip.
On a sweet, sweet note, Judah wanted me to hold her this afternoon and I said, "what a sweet girl!" to which she replied "Judah good girl!" I affirmed her understanding of her goodness and then she said "good Mama!" and then "Daddy good!" and then "good girl Judah!" It brought tears to my eyes. After her nap, she looked in my eyes and said "good Tiger!" in reference to her stuffed tiger. I guess we know where we all rank.
Oh, Daddy got a scooter for work! Judah says "Dad-ney scood-ner!"
We had a play date with Judah's best friends Abby and Zia.
Three little monkies jumping on the bed...
thankfully, no one fell out and bonked her head!
Judah also spent some quality time this week with Dad-ney's wrist weights (I will never understand wrist weights!)
And, she still puts things up her nose...enough said!
