Happy Birthday Daddy!

What a full week! We played with friends, enjoyed some rain, walked to the park and took a road-trip to Grand Junction for cousin Marley's 3rd birthday party. AND...today is Daddy's birthday! Happy birthday Daddy! Last year of the 20s should be great.

"rain! touch it?!?"

Judah requested to play "hooorrrsie" with her baby and friend Zia wanted in on the action. They were horses for about half an hour!

Judah got a pony-tail so Zia wanted one too...a little less hair on that sweet girl!

Judah loves to see "Melmo" first thing in the morning.

Friends Abby and her mom Michelle and Zia and her mom Cathy came over for a swim date. FUN!!! These girls are water babies!

And then we drove to Grand Junction...we discovered that our sweet girl suffers from car sickness...over and over! It was awful and hard to watch (and clean up in the car on the side of the road). Just before throwing up, she would start to whimper and break out in a cold sweat. After the event, she would say "oohh! tup-up!" (throw up). Then, Judah would begin to cry and say "mace! mace!" which means MESS! We found a few techniques to help her...gum, suckers and no eating for 1 hour prior to driving. It took 6 hours for a 4 1/2 hour trip and even longer on the way home because we stopped for lunch and then had to wait an hour. still, we prefer this problem to SO many others that are possible with a toddler.

Marley's grandma hosted her birthday party and Judah LOVED the piano...she kept bringing people to help her get on the bench to play.

she also tried out baby Oliver's swing with princess Marley standing by

the candid shot

Judah seemed facinated with Oliver and even requested to hold him before becoming terrified and saying "NO! hold it! NO!" She settled for a sweet kiss on his ear.

Judah and Marley play well together

COUSINS! Judah, Lauren with Oliver and Marley

So, let us end with a happy birthday to Daddy. Judah has been singing to Daddy or "Dadney" all weekend and it goes like this "happy day Dadney...happy Dadney...to you!" and ends with a "hooray!"

nothing sweeter
