Let the Third Year Begin!

Welcome to the third year of sweet Judah's life. We are all blessed to be part of her life and I am so thankful for her family, friends and fans who keep up with her life as we share it here. I said a year ago that I would probably only do the blog every other week after she was one...you know that did not happen. Then, I said this last year that I would change after she turned 2...don't think that is going to happen either. You can plan to see more of her life every week with pictures and videos. Some weeks will probably only have a few things in them, but I know it will be worth viewing.

I want her family and friends to know her as much as you all can. This is one way to accomplish that. Also, we love you and want you to be part of our lives.

Now for the Judah stories:

1. This week Judah has gained a fascination with squirrels that live around our new place. She constantly asks "Judah need ah touch it, the squirrel?!?" and says "Judah chase ah squirrel...ready, GO!" Fortunately, the squirrels are faster and more wily than Judah.

2. She now likes to watch herself in the mirror and will stand there for a number of minutes smiling, fake laughing or even crying just to see how she looks. She also sings happy birthday to herself while looking in the mirror..."Happy day to you Judah! Happy day! Happy day! Happy day to Judah!"

3. Judah now phrases requests in this way, "Ask Mama, Judah have it a fruit snack?!?" or "Ask Dadney, Judah on ah Mama's bed?!?"

Suddenly, Mama realized for the first time that the camera has a timer! First family photo in about a year!

Judah loved this until she got scared.

While at the park , we viewed some recent chalk art...

What a lovely piece!

And then...

Oh!

Funny story about this piece: A man and his two kids were leaving the park as we arrived and the kids saw me taking a picture of the fine art. The little girl said "What does it say Daddy?" to which he replied, without really looking closely, "Ummm...Moma loves Pop...POOP!"

Cody and I were literally in tears with laughter and were trying to hide our chuckling from the man as he loaded his kids onto their bikes. The moral is: look before you read aloud. Another moral might be: make a decision whether or not to just lie to your kids if you don't want to tell them the truth.

We love this outfit.

Judah got some Elmo slippers from Pop and Breen...

This is a creative and good use of them, I thought.

Can you get enough of this cheesy grin? I keep trying to catch her when she isn't doing it, but she is fast!

Mama and Dadney got Judah some wooden fruit to match her vegetables.

I guess she was hungry and wanted to see what she looks like while eating.

Mama has been working to complete Judah's Halloween costume. These wings were the final touch...watch next month for the big reveal!

What an angel!

Aunt Janna and family sent Judah this for her birthday. She LOVED being "Abby Dabby!"

"oh boy!"

When Judah saw this picture on the computer, she said "Judah and Zia watch ah Jungle Book!"

She was RIGHT! That is what they were doing and it was 5 days ago!

Oh, did I mention that she now bites her nails? Mama and Dadney are distressed. When we asked the pediatrician about it, she sat for a few seconds before saying "I am really sorry." Guess there is no magic fix. Maybe I'll call Abby Cadabby...

Dadney taught Judah a new trick this week...

"Silly face!"
