The First Snow!

Ok, so I didn't get any pictures of the first snow, and we didn't play in it, but IT HAPPENED! FINALLY! It snowed on Thursday night while we were sleeping and so we woke up to about an inch of sluchy white stuff on the ground that was melted off by 3pm. We hosted the weekly playdate that morning, and everyone came bundled up--there is nothing like the cuteness of 7 bundled kids. Judah was a gracious hostess and shared all her toys...even though she shared, she would hold whichever toy she had at the moment, clutch it to her chest and yell "MINES! NO SHARE IT!" So maybe she isn't the most generous person alive, but it's a start.

Judah stories:
- We were getting in the car to go to the store and Dadney was humming a tune when he got into the car. Judah said "That's enough sing Dadney! That's enough!" (Mama uses "that's enough" regularly when talking about fussing, yelling, dumping things, etc.--guess she understands the idea)

- Earlier in the week, we were all in the car and arrived at the grocery. As Dadney and Mama got out of the car, Judah said "Mama! Get the child!" (Dadney often says this to Mama when we are exiting the car)

- This one is for the ladies...sorry to everyone else! So, Judah has learned something about the monthly cycle. She knows what it is called and seems to know when it is coming. Mama and Judah went to the store and were walking down the appropriate aisle for monthly products...Judah purposefully caught the eye of a lady on the same aisle and announced loudly "Mama has ah period!" In some shock, Mama laughed and said "Well, she's right." Mama and the lady chuckled and Mama was glad it was a lady and not a man on the aisle in that moment!

Judah, who likes to disrobe, is now able to get off even the tightest shirts...

Well, not all the time.

Judah said, quoting Dadney, "I'm Cornholio!"

"My eat ah apple! Cheese!"

"Lookie Lookie! Show Mama ah food in ah mouf! That silly!"

Mama thought this was a really sweet moment...until she saw the look on Dadney's face after taking the picture...it is still very sweet.

"I dump ah soup on ah tray! Suck ah soup wif ah mouf! My silly!"

Another of Judah's dear friends visits almost every morning (beware leaving trash on the porch!)

"Squirrel eat ah trash! Squirrel FUNNY!!! HA! HA!....Judah chase ah squirrel! Ready...GO!"

This one is for the Shero clan (Mama's family) who used creative recycling even in the late 70s!

"Doot-de-loot! My have ah Doot-de-Loot and play in ah mirror! Doot-de-loot! Doot! Doot! Doot-de-loot!"

This was known in Mama's family as a Doot-de-Loot, or a TP horn. Everyone wanted a Doot-de-Loot and the prize Doot-de-Loot was from paper towels...they are also good for wacking one another and not leaving a mark!

"Judah like ah chockate chip ah waffle! Eat it! Hoomp!"

Three birds on a radiator!

"Mama, Judah pull up ah pants an Dadney say Judah ah old man! That silly!"

"Look at ah old man! That FUNNY!"

Dadney has been growing his hair...

Real nice!

Judah loves her Dadney...and she wants some mouth bling
