6 Months! 26 Weeks! That's Half a YEAR!

Our sweet girl will be 6 months on Monday the 19th. She had a doctor appointment on Friday and her budding stranger anxiety was out in full force. The doctor, a woman who is very kind and joyful, examined her gently while Judah cried like she was being hurt. The nurse was a little better until she pinned Judah's legs for the three shots. Judah's face showed shock and then she looked at me (Mama) and cried hard. She remained wimpery until we were in the car and she fell asleep. Poor baby. Since then, as usual, she doesn't feel good and is sensitive. We are comforting her as much as possible. So...the information is as follows: 14lbs. 14 oz. 26 1/2 inches long, ahead of the crowd with her sitting abilities and participation in her environment, behind the crowd on size, her eye color is still not final. Our sweet girl is still perfect, which should come as no surprise for any of you.

I'm not sure how much you can tell, but Judah has a fever from the shots and is feeling puny. Even so, she is happy most of the time.

In the family news, Mama got a promotion at work this week (from PDM Chaplain to Part-time). This is a big deal for us. Judah's Gran and PopDaddy sent me some flowers to celebrate with me... So, what does this have to do with Judah... You'll see!

Here it is, folks, our new favorite face. Saved for last, of course! I discovered that when Judah does this, she is trying to imitate me when I put my lips together and smack them apart to make a great big pop sound. She made the sound twice herself. What a fast learner!

Well, that's it for this week. On Tuesday, we are off to Gran and PopDaddy's where there will be more pictures than I can count for next week's edition.
