Well folks, Judah is 4 months old. In the last week, she has discovered her voice in full force. She laughs, yells, screams, gurgles, rolls her "r"s and has even developed a fake cough that she uses frequently. Her scream is getting higher and higher in pitch and longer in duration. So far, it is unendingly cute and we laugh a lot with her antics. She often makes a loud sound and then immediately looks to Cody or me as if to request approval for her noise-making. We always solidly approve.
Also, this week she went for her 4 month well-baby visit...there were four shots. These shots produced gigantic tears and a very pitiful baby who cried as I held her, saying, "Neh, neh, neh...neh, neh, neh, neh..." It sounded to me like she would not vote for shots in the future. It also sounded a little like she was trying to say "mama".
In better news, she is now 24 and 1/4 inches long...she weighs 12 lbs. and 12 oz....her eyes are still undetermined and were called grey for now...she can roll over from front to back and back to front...she intently watches whatever is going on in her world...she LOVES to look at herself in the mirror and talk to that other sweet baby...she smiles at EVERYONE, well, everyone but the nurse who gave her 4 shots. That poor woman had to trade a bright smile for a look that would melt a mountain. Oh well.
